Some Things to Mull Over...

I guess this is a haul post...  I don't know :-)

Anyway, here's a few things I got from Avon recently that I am completely in love with right now!

First up is the Glimmerstick Diamonds Eyeliner.  I already had this in Smokey Diamond, which is a grey with glitter, but when I saw five more colours available in C15, I just had to have them!  Sadly, I didn't have enough money at the time to buy them all, so I only got two: Twilight Sparkle (blue) and Sugar Plum (purple).

My skin looks awful in the picture above at the moment, I'm suffering from dry skin on my hands because of the cold!  I've also battered and bruised my hands throughout the moving process, so please forgive me!
As you can see, they both have a gorgeous glitter in them, making them perfect for spicing up any look.  Having said that, I love pretty much anything glittery or sparkly, haha!

I also bought myself a demo of Skin So Soft Mineral Gems Glamorous Gold, which is a dry oil body spray with... you guessed it, real gold sparkles in!

I haven't had a chance to try this yet, but seeing as I am about to jump in the shower, I will give it a go afterwards :-)

Then I bought a demo of Secret Fantasy, which is a new perfume coming out in C17 (I think!).

As you can see, the bottle is this adorable deep pink with a cute little key charm on it.  The charm also doubles as a lock for the spray, which is pretty handy!  I love this smell, but I haven't quite decided what it actually smells of yet, so I will keep you posted.

And finally, I was sent a special gift for selling £30 worth of Lotus Shield stuff, which was very nice of Avon!  My gift included: Anew Clinical Eye Lift (All Ages), Superextend Mascara in black and Glazewear Sparkle lip gloss in Sugar Cane.

Now I am always up for trying free stuff, so I gave them all a go, and I have to say I was very surprised that I actually liked the eye lift!  I found that it did brighten up my eyes quite a bit, but I don't know much about sagging or crows feet, as I'm lucky enough not to have any yet!  I also loved the mascara, as it really lengthened my lashes with no trouble at all.  At first, I wasn't sure about the gloss, because I prefer my pinks to be sheer and the colour looked terribly opaque in the tube.  It was also very bright, and as I am not a natural fan of the pink colour anyway, I was tempted to give it away.  However, I tried it and I'm glad I did.  The colour is very sheer, it's almost more of a sheen than a tint, and I love the glamorous sparkles.  It's a very wearable gloss after all, so don't be put off by the brightness of it!

Update

Hi all,

Because of the whole moving house thing I am behind with my brochure deliveries, so I am really sorry about that.  There are 13 days left of this campaign, so I will endeavour to catch up as soon as I can.  Until then, please accept my humblest apologies!

I do have some fun things to blog about though, so keep your eyes peeled for some reviews and stuff! :)

Herve Leger For Her - Only Two Remaining!

Hey everyone,

Just another quick blog post to let you know that I still have two Herve Leger sets available for purchase.  These are £20 each and include one full size perfume, one shower gel, one body lotion and one purse spray.

I thoroughly recommend this fragrence and have actually bought myself the perfume!

Please let me know if you are interested :)

A quick update...

Hello everyone!

I know I said ages ago about doing some blog posts on a list of things, and I am fully aware that you haven't seen them, and for that, I can only apologise.  Sadly things have been getting on top of me recently, as I am in the process of starting up my own business and am now moving house too!  I will try my very best to get something from that list up for you, and again, I apologise.  I think, as it stands, I will do the reviews and looks that I mentioned, but will not do the haul video.  Look out for the post on primers, which will help you to keep your Avon eyeshadows looking bright and beautiful all day long!

Now, as I said, I'm going to be moving house soon, but don't worry, I will be keeping my current territory so nobody will be without Avon :)  Having said that, there will probably be a fair amount of disruption over the next two weeks with order collections and deliveries.  I will endeavour to keep you all as up-to-date as I possibly can, but moving house is a bit of a mission at the best of times, right?!

If you have any questions you can contact me as normal - however, there may be a few days around the 25th of September where I will not have access to the internet.  If it's urgent, you would probably be better off texting or calling me (number is, as always, included on the info slip with your brochures).

Thanks for understanding everyone :)

Christmas Raffle 2010

Christmas Raffle 2010

Starting from Campaign 16 and running all the way through to Campaign 01 (just before Christmas), I am going to be giving all my customers the chance to enter into a special Christmas Raffle.  There will be three prizes, the contents of which will be announced shortly.  But just to whet your appetite, I can say that the first place prize will be an Avon gift basket, put together by yours truly, and that it will include a Francesca watch.  This gift basket would make a lovely present to a loved one, especially as it will arrive on your doorstep before Christmas!  Other prizes will include items from the Planet Spa, Senses and Skin So Soft ranges, as well as cute accessories and jewellery items.

All you have to do is spend at least £5 in the brochure and you will receive one ticket.  You will then receive a ticket for every £5 you spend over the initial £5 too!  You can collect tickets from each of the four Christmas brochures, there are no restrictions to what you can use to make up your minimum spend, and there is no limit to how much you can spend.

You can also buy tickets without spending in the brochure!  Each ticket costs 25p, or you can buy a strip of five for £1.

That's not all though, a percentage of the profits will be donated to a charity of your choosing, so keep your eyes peeled for the poll which will be provided soon.

The draw will take place on Monday the 13th of December, which is also my last Avon delivery date before Christmas.

Hints and Tips: Jewellery Care

Hi everyone!  Today's blog is going to be about jewellery care.  I know it's a little off the make-up topic, but it still constitutes as beauty in some way :-)

Jewellery can make the difference between a good outfit and a great one.  Seriously, the right accessories really complete a look, and can be worn to compliment not only the clothes you are wearing, but the make-up you wear or even the way you style your hair.  But, let's be honest, how many of us actually think on a daily basis about how we take care of our shiny trinkets?  It's very important to keep your jewellery looking tip top in order to get the most out of it, so here's a few quick tips to keep your jewellery looking lovely for longer!

1. Try to keep when and where you wear jewellery in mind.
I know this sounds obvious, but too many of us don't think about how certain situations could damage our jewellery before we get into them.  For example, you should definitely avoid wearing rings while gardening, cleaning, or taking part in sport.  Not only could they get damaged or dirty, but they could be a danger to you or others.  Like the footballer who had his finger pulled off by his own wedding ring during a professional match.  Not nice!

2. To avoid tarnishing, ensure that you keep jewellery away from perfume, hairspray, nail polish remover and other such nasties.
Chemicals in these types of products can stain jewellery, and some can have a 'burning' effect.  This can leave your jewellery dull, dirty-looking, and just plain ugly.  A good idea is to put on all your perfume and such first, allowing them to thoroughly dry before putting your jewellery on.

3. Clean your jewellery regularly using a professional jewellery cleaner.
This one's a bit of a no-brainer.  Cleaning your jewellery will keep it shiny and beautiful.  Remember to always follow the manufacturers instructions though, jewellery cleaning isn't something you can make up as you go along.

4. Never go swimming in your jewellery.
Chlorine is really bad for jewellery, and can cause discolouration and damage to fixings.  It's also really dangerous to swim in jewellery, as they can become caught on any number of things.

5. Keep your jewellery pieces in a separate travel box or bag when on holiday.
This helps to avoid scratches from other items you may be carrying and also means that liquids cannot be spilt on them during transit.
